Choose an installation pattern
It's not just the floor you choose, but the direction you lay it that makes a lasting impression.
How do you know which way you should lay your floor? Think about the most common footpath through your space and choose an installation pattern that follows that same path. Herringbone is a great lay pattern for spaces with multiple footpaths and entryways.

Did you know?
The type of flooring installation determines which laying patterns are available
For standard patterns in an easy-to-install format
choose rigid core. The click-and-lock connections do not allow for the design flexibility of gluedown and loose lay – the products can be laid straight or at 45-degree angles. Some of our rigid core products from the Korlok Select collection are designed for herringbone patterns.
Rigid core patterns
For maximum creativity and the most color options,
Go with gluedown floors. LVT planks and tiles can be cut to fit any pattern. You can also create seamless transitions from wood to stone looks with products from the same gluedown collection.
Gluedown Patterns
Design creativity meets extra comfort
choose loose lay. Individual planks and tiles can be cut to create zoning or patterns – although unlike gluedown, the loose lay format is not compatible with design strips and decorative borders. In addition, Karndean LooseLay planks and tiles should not be cut in pieces smaller than the width of the product. Doing so will affect the quality of the installation.
